3 shorts is an exciting new talent search for upcoming comedy writers to get their work onto the stage and into the public domain. Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre will be producing three 25 minute – 30 minute comedy plays. To be performed at The Ballarat Studios in North Shields (UK) in April 2013 for a two week run.

The plays can be about anything, set anywhere with a maximum of four actors used however if entrants would like actors to play multiple characters or use less than the four actors this is possible.We are looking for original engaging comedy plays suitable for all ages ranging from 16 upwards.

The winning playwrights will:

• See a professionally trained cast perform their work.
• Be invited to become an associate writer with Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre, meaning they can pitch a script to Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre anytime they want.
• Showcase their work to the industry in a minimum of fourteen performances.
• Receive a performance-rights fee of £50.
