Details10 WORD MENKE Write a Menke Sonnet. Whats that? Here is an explanation: A Menke Sonnet; also known as a Menke Triangle is an unrhymed Poem that goes from 2-15 syllables or 15 to 2 syllables and can be a Double Menke Triangle: from 2-15 and 15 to 2 syllables. Sweet, Menke Katz was a mentor of mine. He passed away in 1991. His work was published by Smith. He was the only Yiddish poet to also become widely published in English. Plus, he was the kindest soul anyone could ever meet. To learn more about Menke, or to support his work posthumously by ordering his books, visit: http://www.dovidkatz.net/menke/menke_americana.htm Write a Menke Sonnet/Triangle using all of the following 10 words: pretending morning sensible walking pretence swallow lost returns bother bad ~ Tovli ~ Moderator: Helena PLEASE NOTE: BE SURE TO MARK YOUR ENTRIES "POEM" AND SONNET" ON YOUR POSTING PAGE, OTHERWISE IT MAY NOT GET THROUGH.
