The Figurative Formula  February 2, 2017 - February 5, 2017

You know what? I have to go back to college on Monday, which will quite possibly munch on most of my time for the next few months, so let's have a quick little contest! In this contest, I want to see you demonstrating your abilities with figurative language. I'm talking the whole nine yards here; alliteration, imagery, allusion, onomatopoeia (I'd be lying if I said I didn't have to use spell check to get that one right), assonance, consonance, metaphor, and every other type of lyrical device this side of the Sun. You don't have to use every one of them in your piece, but the more "seasoning" your poem has and the more well written your poem is, the more likely you are to win this thing. You can submit any piece...as long as it's poetry. :)
