Details

Let's face it, the holiday season is a mantle-stocking filled with reindeer crap. Truly, there is nothing remotely religious about any of it other than that which we feel compelled to impose upon it. So, in the spirit of Christmas Past, give me a non fiction story or poem that centers itself around holiday travesty.

This contest will include TWO first place winners; one for a non fiction short story, and one for poetry.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Non Fiction:
Tell about a true-life experience you've had, at any time of your life, during the holiday season. Be it funny or be it melancholy, the point to this contest is simply to tell the best holiday story. But, it may NOT contain any religious significance.

Poetry:
Quite simply, give me your best poem concerning the holiday spirit. It doesn't have to be happy, it doesn't have to be sad, but it may NOT contain any religious significance.

Two submissions are allowed per contestant.
The two top winners will receive engraved trophies, and they will have their work featured at ViciousWriters.com in January.

Good luck to everyone, and may you all have a Vicious holiday season.
