Ethos, Logos, Pathos

Ethos, Logos, Pathos

A Lesson by Natalie Aidyn
"

Learning what ethos, logos, and pathos are and how to use them to persuade your audience.

"

Let's start by getting the basic definitions down.

Ethos: the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its beliefs and aspirations.
(More or less meaning ethics and how you use what is being done in the type of area you live to appeal to your audience)

Pathos: a quality that evokes pity or sadness.
(Emotion! How can you change your wording to provoke a certain feeling)

Logos: the principle of reason and judgment.
(Self explanatory. How you use evidence and logic)

If you play with these three together you can manipulate peoples thoughts to get them to agree with you!
