This course is about how writers can revise their work on a computer. It is not about how to write, but about tools that are available for writers to use.

The group of tools are generically referred to as "Version Control" by the majority of people who use them professionally.  I opted to use the phrase "Version Control" for the course title to facilitate communication outside of the context of the course.  But within the course (when possible) I intend only to use the more appropriate words "revision" and "editing".

I also will not be recreating any information available on wikipedia or other websites, and will refer you to them whenever possible.
