scathing, elocution, rasp, erode, contorted, affable  03/24/2013   The elocution of the birds’ barks and squalls were contorted, full of a rasp like gurgle and the high sweet pitch almost affable to the ear, rather like a parrots’ song. On the third to fourth repetition it would erode into a scathing jabber of four letter words most certainly learned from humanity
