Writers Seeking Publication Group Forum I am an unpublished author. He..

I've been writing for a very long time, and I do not believe that my amount of writing has amounted to nothing. I have never submitted my work for publication in magazines, newspapers, journals, etc ever, though I have recently had an essay written for school mailed out into a national competition for unpublished college writers (Not by my asking).

I have not posted any of the works which I want to get published on my Writers Cafe account but I have many written. My main question to this group is... well, how? I am entirely naive to the process of submitting writing for publication and if someone could give me a tale of how they got published, or even what is needed to get published, I'm sure I could learn quickly.
