She has performed on Broadway, spoke at the White House for the President of the United States of America, won the title of Miss Texas Southern University, traveled around the world as keynote speaker for churches, schools, businesses, conferences, seminars and gala affairs, and went on to be labeled one of the greatest young speakers of our time by Ebony Magazine.

Her star-studded performances in Paris, France, Rome, Italy, Prague, Czechoslovakia, Johannesburg, South Africa and Vancouver Canada have earned her international acclaim and success.

She graduated from Houston�s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and went on to attend Southwestern Christian College and Texas Southern University, earning degrees in Communications. Rasberry is one of the principal partners of Communication Consortium, a top strategic communications agency in Houston, TX.

Her talents have landed her on programs alongside Tavis Smiley, Dexter Scott King, son of slain civil-rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Condelizza Rice, President George W. Bush, Les Brown and others.

Wow, thank you for the review and insight and information, but I was not condemning all teachers please believe me! I am speaking from my experiences with some teachers in the elementary levels. For instance the situations with my sons, the fact that my child was sent to the office for praying and having his little friends join him to say grace at lunch time. The fact that my child acted out because of the pain he was feeling because his mother and myself are getting a divorce. I am speaking of those teachers who just don't give a damn! Those that this does apply to know who they are, and the level at which they choose to deal with these children. I am speaking the truth from my experiences with some teachers who were just so nonchalant with me it was appalling!

I am speaking against those teachers that are sleeping with our young sons and having babies for them, I am speaking against those teacher that are feeling up our daughters and having forced sex with them. I am speaking against these gay and lesbian teachers that doing the same thing. I am speaking the truth no matter how painful it is. It is what it is!
I understand your concern and your position on this matter but, you as an educator feel as if you are doing your best and are getting results,these statements don't apply to you. I applaud you! Joie you as a motivational speaker I know can reach these kids, but there are those teachers that don't even try, just move them out of my class and send them to ALC, or maybe send them to the nurses office and recommend some type of medication to sedate them.

For instance the situation with Shaquanda Cotton. This young girl was sent to prison for 7 years by Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville for shoving a hall monitor in school. This is racist. It is wrong The child had to use the restroom! Again uncaring Teacher said no, would not allow a simple gesture as letting the child use the restroom. Now Politicians, the judge sentences this CHILD to 7 years in prison until the age of 21. Where is the justice in that?

For all those uncaring teachers what happened to the drive and determination of the teachers like Joe Clark, Marva Collins, Coach Carter just to name a few. I know it can be said that times have changed, but the fact remains. The names may have all changed, but the game remains the same...Education,Education, Education,. I see this weekend we are going to have a meetings of the minds...I love you Joie please don't take offense to my poem, I just called it like I saw it.
