About Me

The son of Nicholas Leonard Stouff Jr., last chief of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana, and Lydia Marie Gaudet Stouff, a Cajun Belle. I have been a journalist for 29 years and author of the award-winning column "From the Other Side" in the St. Mary and Franklin Banner-Tribune. I live on the Chitimacha reservation. I am the author of "Native Waters," a memoir, and "Chasing Thunderbirds," a collection of short stories.
