About MeI am a playwright with a Masters Degree from The Actor's Studio Drama School. I studied under Clay McCleod Chapman and Edward Allan Baker. I'd say my writing style is eclectic to say the least. My pieces range from realistic (We Like Sheep: A southern comic tragedy) to complete fantasy (You Are Here). I am currently working on a full length theater piece that is a 2nd draft of my senior full length thesis project (An Evening of Murder) and a new draft of a tv pilot that I am co-writing with my writing partner L.B. Roberts.
I am currently living in a small town in Tennessee that has a distinct lack of writing groups and I am hoping to find a community here so that I can get back in my writing groove. I've spent the last year teaching math to zero tolerance kids in the childcare system, and while fulfilling, my true passion lies in writing. So here's hoping to make new friends and get some constructive criticism! Thanks everyone! -SRJ |
