In My Shoes

In My Shoes

A Poem by ~ Czarina Iris ~
"

...

"
Take a step within my shoes
And walk a mile or so
                Take a good look around
And then you will know of every fear I ever faced
                    And every tear I shed
             And every other time
Where I wished I were dead
             You'll know of every fight
About which  cried myself to sleep
And all the deep dark secrets that I've been forced to keep
             So before you judge me
Walk a mile within my skin
Glimpse the world through my eyes
And know it's Hell I'm living in...

I loved this poem. I can relate to it. I think everyone could relate to this poem. I loved the flow and the message. Don't judge a book by it's cover. That's basically what I get out of it. Although everyone judges everyone. Although they haven't been in our situation, but different things happen to different people. This was a really great write. Thanks for sharing.

As Mauricio said, I can relate to this poem also, it flows wel and the meaning is quite easy to understand, stright to the point. Great writing.

there's a message here and I can relate to this piece there's always someone saying how easy life is but that's not always the case until they can see it through your eyes.
Excellent write.

Believe It Or Not Believe It Or Not
This is my first attempt at slam poetry, and I'm excited to film a performance of this piece over the coming day.
I love the message. It is often said, but not so eloquently. Well done!

I wish more people could step outside of themselves and into the individual's shoes! Maybe then, Hell's fires wouldn't hurt so much. Awesome Poem!

You've a added a passionate and personal dimension to the "walk a mile in someone else's shoes" saying. Well done.

You painted a picture that was great to look at and your words are a challenge. Sometimes a mile is too long, but this was short enough to get the point across. great work.
