The Awakening

The Awakening

The Awakening

Blessings and gifts acquired

Fought for my inheritance

Not by happenstance

but with implanted pressure

To up measure

to meet the needs of those who

reside in spiritual poverty with lesser

I did it for the seedlings who watch

from their microscopes

taking conduct notes

of my expressions

in the petri dish below

Self-made man

African Ameri-CAN

do all things with the strength of the Lamb

And

I did it designed as divinely planned

Expand

Be fruitful and multiply positive vibes

to the lost tribes

in this Western land of Christian values demised

Advance perspectives away from the dunes of gloom

Doom!

awaits in their fates if light isn’t given room

Those who are wise are given instrumental mental eyes

To see

To decipher

and expose

the wiles and the lies

To hear cries

of extinction begun

Don’t run!

You are the change

you wish to reflect in your eyes

After many tries

The worn checkered board

and sense of reality will collide

And the flowing veil

before thee will rise

And you can see the sway of pointed tails

and the reflection of flames in their eyes
