I fell right through the cracks

I fell right through the cracks

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

The days without you feel like years

I slowly collect all of the fallen tears

Have you already moved on?

Wake up one day and you’ll be gone?

Remember when we were together

Every day, no matter the weather

In love from head to toe

Seemed like a fantasy, though

Where have you been lately?

You, honey, are missed greatly

Your kisses and love have ended

Should I feel offended?

The ring you gave is slipping away

As I sit alone, day by day

Trying to catch the last memories

And fighting off the agonies

Sadness burrows into my heart

Hating the times that we are apart

What happened to all the dreams?

Gave up on them, it seems

I was ready to love you forever

I don’t think you’ll return, however

My soul aches with loneliness

The world is back to its bareness

And I cry in my sleep, night after night

As my hope fades with every word I write

I love this part so freaking much
"My soul aches with loneliness

The world is back to its bareness

And I cry in my sleep, night after night

As my hope fades with every word I write"

Wonderful as always.
