Single Barrel

Had a sip of Jack Daniel's:Single Barrel by accident so these are the thoughts that ran through my mind as it hit me.

Warm

Fuzzy

Heat up the throat and chest

Cools

Tempers the tongue

Relaxes the body

Unchains the mind

A kingly drink

Welcoming to the gentlemen as w****s are to lepers

Every melting sip repeats the experience

No complaints

Ride the cycle

Ride the cycle down to timeless nod

It's always great when people write about the odd little occurrences in their life . . . instead of vast plots already written. How did you accidently have a sip of Jack Daniel's, is what I would like to know? Personally, I'm no fan of alcohol, but I have drunk it before, but my own experience has never been quite as pleasant.

I was at a friends house and I do try to avoid alcohol as much as possible, anyways I was at a friends house who was having a party I was chatting and put my drink down chatted picked up a drink and without noticing that it was the person I was talking chatting with drink sipped and then was like oops. But by then this popped in my mind so I had to write it down. Alcohol effects everyone differently and that's one thing that scares me about it being the in thing to do because some people get giddy, others touchy kissy, and some violent. So maybe it shouldn't be as accepted as it is.

I think prohibition ultimately failed because of the money aspect, without alcohol at the time so many more people would have been on the streets. Sadly, our economy still relies on such forbidden pleasures. I do think, however, that less people our accepting of alcohol now then they used to be, but maybe I'm just bias.

Maybe only the future will tell, I think if people knew how to moderate there drinking we would be alright but too many go over board. I think prohibition failed for many reasons, sure the money but also much of American life revolves around drinking and being social. Drinking in itself is not bad but when people go overboard that's the problem.

I can confidently tell you the imagery is great in this cuz I can't even drink alcohol (health reasons, so I better not sip anything by accident lol) but I get the idea perfectly through this piece.
