My Lover

My Lover

A Poem by A.Lack.of.Hope

My lover is sweet,
His eyes seem to glow.

My lover is gentle,
And he won’t let me go.

My lover is faithful.
He never looks away.

My lover is a joker.
So I laugh the whole day.

My lover is strong.
I feel it in his arms.

My lover is smart.
I see it in what he says.

My lover can act!
He's been in a few plays!

My lover is loyal;
I see it in his face.

My lover is angry,
He has had enough.

My lover is hurt,
I called his bluff.

My lover is leaving,
leaving me here to pray.

My lover has left.
And I am a fool in every way.

you honestly capture every emotion when one is in a relationship from beginning to end, and that's what makes this piece so beautiful.
