The Silence Of The Red Riding Hood

The Silence Of The Red Riding Hood

A Poem by Ambra Celeste

The Silence Of The Red Riding Hood

Words going round and round in your head
Desperate to come out
Wanting to be heard
Your silence energetically secured
With chains and locks of fear
The wolf has captured you
When fright cuts your vocal cords
Who will hear your silent call?
Cocooned in silence you feel safe
You know the penitence if you try to escape
Intimidation is your daily meal
Dread is your toxic drink
Your soul burning in flames
Bursting to reveal the truth
Begging to be saved
You know that courage is the key
To unlock the locks and chains holding you captive
The infernal silence can only end by grasping the key concealed around your neck
Fear makes the wolf look bigger
The wolf knows that
The wolf counts on that
Call upon your braveness and strength
These woodsmen can kill the wolf.
