Miscarriage

Fear -

and dread

are what

I felt

because

of the

knowledge

of you.

 

Hope -

and happiness

became what

I felt

once

I began to

accept you.

 

Excitement -

and joy

are what I

felt when

I was supposed

to see

you.

 

- But you weren't there.

 

Longing -

and pain

are what

I feel

now

that you

are no more.

 

Here

one minute -

gone

the next.

That's how

life is:

Unfair -

 

Mourning

a life

who I

loved and

lost but

never

even met

and now

never can

and

never will.
