Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn

Just a poem

"
Harley Quinn, where did you go?
Harley Quinn, with your empty diamonds, with your empty tears and faces.
Harley Quinn, dragging yourself across the floor, blood smeared on the door.
Taking pills and losing races.
Did they take away your heart away?
Harley Quinn, they murdered your prince, stuck him with needles and filled him with pain.
There's nothing to see, nothing to gain.

Harley Quinn, where did you go?
Harley Quinn, with your fingernails bleeding, spine crackling, muscles tense.
Harley Quinn, your smashed jaw broken, tied to the chair thinking this isn't fair.
This isn't making sense.
Did they break your sanity?
Harley Quinn, they covered you in lies, stuck you with nails and filled you with crazy vanity.
"Damn you and damn your clarity."

Harley Quinn, where did you go?
Harley Quinn, with your empty body, with your shattered bones and lipstick.
Harley Quinn, you were licking the mirror, looking for love without seeing any clearer.
Found a bottle of poison and learned to kiss it.
Did they rip you apart?
Harley Quinn, stuck in a beautiful delusion, with your clumsy grace and injured heart.

Harley Quinn, where did you go?

I Love this! I am a huge Harley fan and I think this really captures the sadness, and complexity of her character while also playing with the changes in her image and personality over the years. Great flow, great rhyme scheme, great subject, great job!
