Julie Andrews

Julie Andrews

A Poem by Alandree

I'll be your Julie Andrews
I'll spin atop that hill
The moon may rise, the sun may set
And still I'll heed your will

I'll be your Julie Andrews
I'll cross-dress on a dime
A convincing man I may not be
But I'll do it anytime

I'll be your Julie Andrews
While glass breaks on my note
And as the pieces sweep away
I'll sing the songs you wrote

I'll be your Julie Andrews
Umbrella overhead
And as you see me laugh to fly
You'll see my face is red.

So beautiful! Such beautiful lyricism! Very thought-probing as well, so gifted with great spirit!

...
. sweet ... mellifluous and surreal ... song-like ... the last stanza is to die for ... the first three lead to it well ...
