Fishnets and Stilettos

Fishnets and Stilettos

A Poem by Alessander

I see you in your black corset
    Shiny as a raven’s claw
      Hair floating
         Hips swerving
   Sipping a stiff drink
         In a dark corner
          Mascara thick
              Lipstick full
        In crimson bloom

        Plump lips - glazed eyes
           Fishnets and stilettos

                     Swaying

         Unto the dance floor
      Becoming one
  With the music
While unraveling yourself
       From our mortal fetters
                    Bone fingers
         Reaching, beckoning
      As you are enveloped

By the strobe lights and fog

             Evaporating

   Only your pale silhouette remains
              On my tongue

Why do i get a feel that you spend most of the time observing ladies at the club :P

The last one was sipping beer.. and this one Sipping a stiff drink & dancing away :)

more than drinks i like the feel of the music so high...one gets lost in it...
never been a fan of silhouette on my legs..
but i do envy the ones who can dance on them..
(i rather have a relaxed leg than a broken one)

Very erotic and full of temptation. Your words brought this scene to life.
Every man's dream, the perfect woman who ever she may be.
An impressive write.

You are very welcome.
no mere mortal woman, this, a sorceress to keep a man awake at night, to hijack his brain and keep him running in circles

I've been a little truant :) but getting back to it
Can feel myself, being brought back, to my earlier years, when I did the "Goth" scene, during the 1980s, which you describe, so eloquently. Must say, you had me, by the first line of verse, in mentioning, black corset. Thank you, for bring back, those fond days, for me, Alessander.

I can believe it, Alessander.
You just described, in perfect detail no less, what it felt like when I met one of my first lady loves many, many moons ago. She was just like this, the scene was close to identical, all the feelings exact. Glad I read this, definitely shelving. Brought back fond memories. Thank you.

Wow, this is absolutely stunning! The last two lines - "Only your pale silhouette remains on my tongue" really stood out to me, and it really cinched the perfect ending to this beautiful poem. Thank you so much for sharing! This is probably one of the best poems I've read on here so far :)

Those last three lines just blew me away, this one outstanding poem dude! You have a winnee in your hands and I knew that from the title ( which I love, btw )

Loved the wording and imagery, a massive kudos to you!

I loved it, the title was what pulled me in... I was like, " I have to read that!" :P
the last three lines just blew me away...

love that evaporating...but still the silhouette remains on the tongue..

she blends in with the music, the strobe lights, the fog....perhaps she is just an illusion.

Thanks, Jacob.
Very happy you gave it a read and liked it.
they took a poll recently that said that women who wore stiletto heels feel more powerful.
And i'm thinking, more powerful over what? It seems they were talking about situations
that demanded a power figure to be established. And to that end we must limit
power (as de fined) as taking on no other reticulate characteristics. I think you meant is
just as you wrote it, meaning power to seduce; that disingenuous power of temptation / so
thick and flavorful you can almost taste it.

I love the theme here.
