Loneliness is a Memory

Loneliness is a Memory

So we meet in Paris

after years of memories

engulf our sunken minds-

those tortuous seas

and thunderous they were

for they’ve been without you

two lovers kiss beneath

the eyes of loneliness

while my heart cries aloud-

the sound of the past

plays a song in disguise

and a meadowlark sighs

while I listen melodiously

with my ears and my eyes

and I see, alas I see…

Sets an atmosphere or melancholic memories and a longing of renewal.
Interesting visions one gets from reading this.
I can see painful love in a beautiful romantic city...

Beautiful poem with wonderful imagery and delivery. I especially liked the begining line, "So we meet in Paris", this alone is so very romantic! I really enjoyed reading this. Nice work!

Such yearning in your poem.
Must have been a special love.

You sat its raw, and I say damn right. What is true poetry if its not written from the true depths of our mind? There was a lot of emotion, prose elegance and depth.

Each transition from one verse to the next was separate from the piece, yet connected at the same time.

Great job, keep up the good work.

Sometimes its better raw, without being polished or refined. This is pure emotion, strong and true. Very beautiful, Allen.

I love brilliant words and phrases:
while I listen melodiously
