The 21st Century Viking

The 21st Century Viking

A Poem by Allusyen
"

This was written for the "100 Things" Challenge, Entry #80 - Words.

"

He was born great, a Warrior…

born into a time where warriors are not longer needed,

where battles are fought with policies and guns,

not the tools of a warrior – his fists,

and whatever instrument happens to grace them…

He was born great, a Warrior…

born into a time where warriors die old and unnoticed,

uncelebrated and senile – a place akin to Hel for him…

He was born great, a Warrior…

born into a time where warriors fight with words,

where the pen is mightier than the sword – so he took a pen and started to write…

He was born great, A Warrior...

A Writer...

At the beginning I thought that you were using the word 'warrior' too much, even though you had a limited amount of words to write it in. Maybe this is one of those things were you say 'warrior' and after each one, its always a different meaning. Only at the end did I notice this technique, because you meant that he was a 'warrior' in the sense of being a determined writer'........or not. Lol. For all I know, I'm just guessing whatever I'm saying and getting it all wrong. Hehe.

Actually... you have a point there. It is a little... repetative.. well, more than a little - right at the begining. I didnt realise my formatting had disappeared either. weirdness in abundance. Thank you, I'm gonna take another look at this tonight.
