New Moon

A tribute to the Twilight Trilogy.

The rain still comes down, but the sun
sparkles, turning my life to colors.

My life is being celebrated, but with one
drop of blood, a feeding frenzy is born.
A love that hinder, flows, goes into hiding.

His ghost returns, a warning of my own rush.
I must see death for him to return.

Blankets of night hold me, strangling into
another mare.

He courses through my veins, leaving me with
nothing, and so I jump, emptying myself into
his mouth, ressurected by a howl.

He chases my demons away, forgetting why
I cry.
Close enough to kiss, but dare I wear his smile?
Red stalks me, pinning my blood on my soul,
but never too close does she seek.

Juliet dies, Romeo grieves, but all is a lie.
Robes of crimson prepare to watch, but
fates hand kneels for the execution.

Death will not come on this day....
Will you marry me?

Ive seen the movies, so I can truly understand your poem. You capture Bella's anguish and love within your realistic and rather dark piece. My favourite line: "Close enough to kiss, but dare I wear his smile?".

I've never seen the twilight trilogy, although it's easy to see the dark fascination with a vampire in lover's mourn,
the capturing is awsomely done. keep up the great work
