you are autumn
a soothing cool to a heat that has passed
you are my past
    still beautiful
but colder each day

A soothing cool, that sounds almost comfortable Ana. Lovely words which speak to me of relationships and the stages they move through. Conveyed well. I detect some sadness here.

Good morning Ana. You are welcome.
i love this, Ana.

i have many autumn people in the past...the memories are still beautiful...but the snow is coming.
and that blizzard may blind me to the memories at that point.

Thanks so much Jacob. So true what you say. I need my snow goggles I think.
dear Ana... it is true... now it is almost December and Autumn is past... but there are many leaves on the ground of warmer days. Autumn is a large bouquet of blessings and I miss the colors of orange and gold. truly, Pat

I miss the warmer days too. Thanks so much Pat. :)
there is more to this than falling leaves and copper, reds, gold and browns.. I sense a feeling of not exactly grief, but of mourning, in anticipation of rather than the full on ache of loss...maybe.. tis very good :)

I feel autumn here.
But I also feel the loss of a loved one.
Lovely poetry, Ana.
