So Deep In

So Deep In

A Poem by Andrew Frame
"

Those three words.

"

So Deep In

I’ve looked into thousands of all different shades,

Yet yours always bring me to a brand new place.

I could stay here all night and not speak a word,

Give you all that you want

With limbs wrapped and lips sealed.

Still you beg me to find the words.

Those eyes pull me in and it feels so absurd

To be so deep in when it finally occurs.

I know your regrets, your best friend misfits.

I know what you have, what you want, what you need.

I know you can bend, you can break, you can bleed.

There’s nothing new I need to find in these eyes.

Still you beg me to find the words.

Those eyes pull me in and it feels so absurd

To be so deep in when it finally occurs.

We haven’t slept and we’ve barely moved,

Still I’m lost in your eyes and now it seems cruel.

I’ll keep quiet and still for a little longer,

While I stare and I search and the fear lingers.

We’ve seen it all, been there and back,

And I’m finally going to say it …

Still you beg me to find the words.

Those eyes pull me in and it feels so absurd

To be so deep in when it finally occurs.
