Aquarius

Aquarius

A Poem by Rose Black
"

The delta

"

Aquarius

In this watery plane they meet

Fluid and natural

She sweet and wild

He salty and immense

Now merge into one

Kissed by the sun they meet

So different yet so equal

Under the watchful eyes of the stars

Their body intertwine

Twirling splashing in trembling waves

Their nature forgotten

They become one

She vanishes into him

He moves on carrying her essence

Torrents pull him back

For another beach he leaves

For another lover

For another body of sweet wildness

And the adventure of Aquarius begins again

In these waves and torrents there is such a beautiful transcendence. I am an Aquarius, so your title caught my eye so quickly, and your poetry transformed into a fierce rush of deep, pure water in me. xo

Wow. Your words painted such a majestic image in my head. I loved the astronomical metaphors, and the description of the sex was so beautiful. Although, I think it would have been more accurate to say "He vanishes into her" instead of "She vanished into him." I love how as the poem progresses, the glorification of love and sex intensifies, yet it all disappears at the tragic end with the "Torrents pull[ing] him back." The tragedy just makes the poem even more amazing. This is truly quality writing. Never stop.

Neurotically yours,
Mister Splitbrain

This is romantically tragic. She has but one lover while he has many. Great poem I love how it flows and brings you to its end, and yet it begins again. Amazing.

I have read it a couple of times, already, still it is amusing, how a life of an aquarius begins again and again, always finding new love, seems like his nature gives a curse to him, now i wonder, very intriguing piece my friend...
