Dishonesty to dirt

Just be honest is what I believe my message was.

I find that honesty is more rare

Than any mineral of the soil 

That commitments are always false 

Making my blood boil

Say what you mean and don’t lead anyone on

Soon enough we will all be gone 

Give the true words 

Help heal this world

Eventually we will all be dirt

I don’t know what else to say

But to this day 

I have never had someone tell me the full truth

Stories seasoned with changing details and lies 

So it was no surprise 

That those words eventually got me hurt
