A Poem by Anjali

Laughing at my old playlist,
And wondering how cool I felt,
While listening to that s**t.

Looking at my old wallet,
And hating myself,
While gazing at Rapunzel's big, eye sockets.

Reading my old entries,
And wondering if anyone else,
Is as stupid as me, in this whole century.

Analysing my old belongings,
And hating myself, again,
For loving pink everything.

Remembering the old days,
And laughing and crying on,
My stupid, silly mistakes.

Looking at my old everything,
And wondering where would I have been,
If it weren't for those Childish, stupid old things!!

As a 62-year-old speaking to a 16-year-old, let me thank you for showing me how OLD is OLD!!!! *smile* I can't help but laugh, the first time thru your poem, becuz our perspectives are so different! But then I came around & read your poem for what it can teach me about a young person's perspective. I love the details you choose to illustrate the way life has changed for you (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Haha... Thank you so much for reading and for appreciating! 😂😊
We all look back and feel how stupid we were. It's okay to be such. Only look back in life to see how far you've come. 😀
