Lost In A Dream

Lost In A Dream

A Poem by Apollo Lee

S**t and s**t

                           Lost in a Dream

This lady that pored from my dreams

Like a glass of whiskey she settled me down

It’s as though those lips are cherries

And I haven’t taken in my fill

She settled next to me saying all my dreams are true

Like someone I knew she comforted me

This is all that you do, and keep me off my feet

Settle down my woman of the night

Whose eyes like crystal fire

Keep me burning with desire

And keep me longing for that flight

Back to my dreams

She has long blonde hair that glows like a halo

And it smells of something I don’t know

It’s in my dreams that she takes me

And I can’t seem to get my fill

This last night of wishing like stars in the sky

Passing by in a swift moment that feels like forever

This is all that you do, and keep me off my feet

Settle down my gorgeous figure from the screen

Whose body is like milk

And those arms on me like silk

You are something from a dream and this can be seen

Back in my dreams

You hold my hand and comfort me

It’s only a dream

But I would never want reality

If I could go back again

You hold my hand and comfort me

It’s only a dream

But I would never want reality

If I could go back again

Settle down my woman of the night

Whose eyes like crystal fire

Keep me burning with desire

And keep me longing for that flight

Back to my dreams
