Dandelion Wishes

Dandelion Wishes

A Poem by Archia

Wish upon the dandelion
The humble, blowing weed
Let's set it free, and let it go
To plant another seed
Let another child come along
And wish upon its heart
So then once more the cycle of wishes
can once again restart

I like this poem. It seems simple, yet can be interpreted in different ways. For me, this poem reminds me of when I was a child. I loved dandelions while everyone else called them weeds. I loved them because I was told by a teacher that they granted wishes. When I got older, I never entirely lost that belief. Great poem :)
