We're here at the first rising of the Sun

We're here at the first rising of the Sun

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair
"

Of Men and the first rising of The Sun in Middle-earth.

"
We're here at the first rising of the Sun

Out of the memory and thought
We came and opened our eyes
Yet so kneen and bright !

And lo!
We're here at the first rising of the Sun
And we hallowed it's warmth
So came the Children of the Sun

And behold!
We heard a Voice, a deep and strong but
yet a friendly Voice inside of our hearts.

It told us; ' Thou are my Children, and thou must keep me in thine hearst.
And I, who know thy best, will be at thy side all the times of the World '.

'Seek the wonders of the Earth, and
Be eager to get to know more. Cause
Thou are ever seekers, and wandrers
and restless will
Thou hearts be if thou stands still'.

So we wandered far away, and we gave
many things it's name and we're glad.

The nights were calm with full of many bright stars there were the Moon was
sailing across the sky and no sorrow yet came to us.

But soon a darkness covered the nights,
a strange cloud of a 'Black hand' that
moved without a wind like a strom and
streched all over the lands.

We tell; All creatures of Earth were
our friends
and all beast and birds we took as
travel company during our long journeys
to the edge of the World.

But after the Black cloud from The East
all went wrong and we said; Behold thee!

We saw a monstereous creatures
coming from the darkness so black
that no one ever came back!

Creatures of horror and nightmares
jaws bigger than a man's head
a red fire in their gleaming eyes!

So came sadness to us for the first time
and many of us withered away like a
leaf before winters cold and those
who dare to walk far away
disapeared utterly.

We weep and we cried out loud;
'Where are Thou who said thou would
Be with us all the times of the World?'

'Where are Thou now?'

And the Voice answered to us;
'Children of mine I've been there
With thee, even in the most bitter darkness when thee hearts had
Calling me in pain,
There I have Been and taken
Thou with me and no Darkness
Or he who has forgot me, could
Not touch or hurt Thou anymore.'

But many of us didn't listened the
voice and forsooke it cause so
many had lost their wives and
children and their hearts were
filled with bitterness.

So it came that only few of us
ever after that remembered the Voice
or listened to it. And those who did
fell creatures of darkness hunted as animals,
and none can tell where there were took.

Others took the Darkness as their Lord
and they did horrible things and their
hearts sank into darkness more dark than the eyes of a werewolve.

The renmant of those loyal folk to
the Voice, they fled in fear both of
the darkness and of their own kin.

We did not heard the Voice anymore
and all the lands were covered with
tears and blood.

Now it last it came that

The Voice spoke again, and this
time it was a Voice of anger and we all we're afraid of it's wrath.

' Thou are my Children, and mine thy will be, but many of thee has forgot me
And took the Darkness
as their Lord and many things now
walk in the forests under the starless
Night that he had bring who
Calls himself The One Lord, but I,
Who created him, I am Father of All.'

'Soon thou will come back to me
To remember who I am
and shorter
Thee Life will be than it is now.
And thou will come back to me
To forget all sadness that
Has come to thee!'

So came to the end our days of
bliss and after that we have been
died so soon
that The Star-Folk
Would call that only
'a moment of a breath'.

But how we came to meet them
well it is a different story to tell.

I loved the above lines. "A moment of breath". Great meaning in those four words. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
