My temptations

Running as fast as I can, Running from my temptation, from my disease that lives deep inside of me, the monster that I become. I ran to the only place I go that keeps me from losing it. 

So close too close this time, I count down to my last kill, 14 months ago, I fight myself all the time on my weakness crawls on me time and again, this time I ran to my favorite place in the world.  Where it is quit besides nature settle's around me, animals find shelter in the deep of the ground or high in the trees, to call it a night, an owl hoots in a distance, while the wind swirls around me, and the smoothing sounds of the oceans low tide just below the peek I'm standing on. I take a seat on a near fallen tree, and close my eyes to let all my thought drawn out with the sounds of the calm ocean.  

 

Returning to my home is something I shouldn't really do, but I can't help myself the city is an amusing place to live in all my soulless life cities always pulls me in to its busy and the hustles of life that goes on here.  

really I'm more of a person that would have a house on the beach and quit, but the city life pulls me in, i do like to watch while humans run all over the place to get home or work appointments. I live all over the place always on the go 

never stay very long in one place but that was not my fault it was who I am. I turn the corner and see Max standing beside my doorman. I can't believe they found me already I knew something was wrong when I didn't past 

one single of my kind tonight. I turn and run the other way turn corners and cutting though the alley ways, it doesn't matter they always on my tail max will probably have many vamps all over the city looking for me, I guess 

I'm moving again lucky for me I already have a place set up. these vamps have been on my tail for 7 years when I realized that we don’t have to kill humans but just take want we need from them and leave them alive, most 

of the vampires like this idea so we could live in harmony with human, the older vampires where it is hard to not kill because they done it for thousands of years, oh and to answers any of your questions yes we age but we age slowly very slowly.  Anyways, there are times where slip up and we kill a human it hard not to. we also try not to haunted so often to keep are race from being known to the world. My status with the queen is good 

because I discover that we can live with humans but my status with her isn't all that great either because I known to kill vampires that kill for sport. my head is wanted dead or alive, most likely dead. turn another corner and 

run straight and turn right and I'm half way to the edge of the city when I ran in to someone knock both of us down. I didn't feel anything of course but the other person well its not everyday you have a wall run into you and 

not get hurt, standing up as slow as a human as possible. I ask if he was alright and pull him up, when he caught my eyes stirring in those hazels eyes the gentleness  like staring at a thousands diamonds at once, the small  

the small that came off of him was inviting and smooth, like being back at my favorite place again. I felt the hunger rising up that was when I look away, normally as vampire you never look away or you will your prey or your 

life. but this human staring at me with those hazel eyes is either my enemy or my prey.  I turn my head away before he got any deeper, man have always be so easy, because everything that I am  pulls them in, the set of my  

deep purple eyes, the dark swirl of my hair around my body, the mystery of my movements, making them forget the danger their supposed to feel. He speaks lightly and ask if I was alright, that is sweet and If I was human I 

would have been pleased but he is very foolish. I say that I am well and wish him a goodnight and before he could protested I started to run again, surely max is ganging up on my tail, and that little accident give him time to 

reach me. Damn it girl go I told myself and took off even faster.  

 

I finally reach the boarder and started to make it across when Eric caught me. I fought him off but really its no use he is just buying time until max and gang show up. I connected my left hook hit in to his face, it throws him off 

his feet and lands in a building across the street. I just have enough time to make it across and make my way across taking flight with out fear of  humans seeing me.  Looking back as I fly I miss my city, and hope to return 

soon, me and the hazel eyes well I can't think of him no matter how much I wanted to, I'm a vampire and he is human can't be never will, I’m a monster of the night and him is an soul that burns so bright that I could never 

take that away. Max I will only hide for few more years then he will have a duel and what will be done will be done. the last thought as I fade into the darkness of the night.

i really like it

[Coyote Poetry]

This was a very entertaining and filled with information opening chapter. I like the main character and the storyline so far. You have opportunity for a strong story. I look for ward to reading more. I like Vampire type story based on fact. Vampires need blood and are predators. A outstanding beginning.
