Barter

Barter

A Poem by grayscale

Wonder!

Faint breaths of wind,

Within this forest made of gem,

Ruby roses,

Leafs of jade,

Sapphire rivers,

Oh! wish i to wade.

The golden grass,

The amber sun,

For all this treasure,

I would take none.

To trade my breaths,

To give this horde,

Barter my soul,

For my adored.

I came for one,

A thing so pure,

To sell or trade

Would not occur.

My mind may slip,

My wealth will fade,

But lost my heart,

The love i'd trade

All my fortune to have back.

Wow. I loved the description in the first two stanzas I could imagine that. I loved the last stanza you have correctly mentioned about the wealth. It is truly well written and is so thoughtful.
