Prom Night 1

As I walk down the stairs....

As I walk down the stairs
I see my dad with his camera standing next to my mom
My date is waiting for me to arrive at the last stair
I can see him shake and sweat
Do I look okay? Does he like my dress?
I glare at his eyes and smile
He smiles back and I feel better
My mom has tears in her eyes
My dad is snapping pictures of me
I am still glaring at Austin
I finally reach the bottom of the stair case
Austin hugs me immediately
I feel safe inside his arms
My mom is still crying
and my dad still snapping pictures
Me and Austin let go
I turn to my mom and hug her
Her tear runs down my arm
I look to the left and hug my dad
He drops his camera on the floor
we let go and say good-bye
Austin holds my hand and he say bye to my parents
We walk out the front door
We climb into his Challenger and drive off
