The Waking Hour (Version 2)

The Waking Hour (Version 2)

A Poem by B-poet

The Waking Hour

Is an alibi

To cope with lost regrets

That pierce the soul

With each and every step taken

A last breath

Could relinquish a proposed safe haven

If The Waking Hour

Came like a thief in the night

Disguised as Satan

Who's deemed be a soul taker

A well endowed saint

Could now be seen as patron

In the eyes of a world that's filled with bigamy and hatred

Leaving belated deception
As the only trigger finger
Needed to be used
For The Waking Hour
Red flags within the minds
Of every Waking follower
Would remain the only
Alarm clocks left for saving
Each other from an untimely
Dormant spiritual slaughter
That's yet to become
Visually evident & yet undone

the reader's psyché...

more of your
ink drops. thank you

Intense poem. "Red flags within the minds of every waking follower, would remain the only alarm clocks left for saving each other" I just like the way you put your words together in this piece. Thanks for sharing! Much enjoyed.
