Comforter

Comforter

A Poem by Adebola Badiru
"

A poem about hope

"
I tell you not a story of love
But of hope
Hope where there was none
Yet in the darkest of places, came a comforter
My comforter. My allayer of fear

I remind you
This is not a story of pain
Only of strength
Strength and courage to match onward

My bed was wet
soaked it was.
From with tears of sagging eye lids,
I was alone. Alone I was.
Yet within my heart, flows a stream of joy
Beneath my feet, a million sand particles
Each with a love story to tell
I know not of what tomorrow brings

But my Comforter has come
In all d pain life brings, I know I shall be protected
Like a duvet, I will b warm and safe
