A JOURNEY

A JOURNEY

A Poem by Jason Baptiste

A  journey with directions
Is a journey with destinations
Purposes for which it travels
Over lands and seas that marvels

Required time for varied distances
Risky dangers in some instances
Strangers often meet
On transports or city streets

Memories for life periods remains
Lessons of differences attained
Languages never spoken before
Beyond horizons bringing us into awe

Now at my destination have i arrived
To fulfill missions and survive
Hosts shares welcoming
As a party immediately begins

Meeting many masters
So much i've learned
Of which i'll be sharing
Upon my return
