Sirens

Sirens

A Poem by Miles Wilburn
"

Letting go

"
The world is cruel
mistaken love for a tool
there's porcelain inside of you
so easy to break.

We sit on our own all the time
isolated, we waste all our lives
to afraid to really try
so we sit all alone

Sirens always sang
and boats always crashed
why waste our lives
avoiding our pasts?

A heart is fragile
it crumbles and breaks
but love in itself
can repair anything

Don't be afraid
of letting go
sometimes its power
inside that we hold

Come all together
don't stay at home
we'll never heal
if we sit all alone
