Clouds

They drift aimlessly in the sky

Coating the land and claiming it as their own

Not letting the sun fingers infiltrate and bake the world dry

But also not letting humans see the secrets of the universe

What are they hiding?

Sometimes claiming the shapes of others

Hypnotizing our minds as a show of the Heavens commences

Emotions are blunders as showing grey, fuchsia, amber and crisp white

A colorful display of past affections from the souls of our loved ones

Always aimlessly drifting in the sky

Coating the land and claiming it as their own

Just what really are clouds....

Brilliant personification of clouds in this well written poem. Beautifully written and presented! Lydi**

I assume clouds are mystical beings who do not notice the way out of this earth, they rotate over and over and never having to give up is their priority. So essentially, they assume the daily lands they trail are absolute and pure lands they have never ventured. It is a journey to search for the kingdom of stars, a place named 'Home'.

Wow…I really liked your theme here and the way you had penned it. The vivid imageries really works out well. The diction was perfect enough for it. Nice work.

Clouds are visible to the naked eye yet they are untouchable. What are they hiding? The deepest secret of the universe remained untouchable by the human mind. Yet, we know they are there. Just like pain that beclouds a human heart which creates endless questions aimlessly drifting within us. Yet some remained unanswered. You wrote of things larger than life, larger than a mere cloud. You see extraordinary things out of something ordinary just how a writer should be.

Excellent - makes you really think. I like the line about being a display of past loved ones. No wonder the clouds that inspire me are dark, ominous. Excellent piece Bliss

This is by far the most inspiring word play that you have expressed in your poetry.

(1) Grey: sombre, melancholy, yet soothing
(2) Fuchia: passion, pleasure, and paint
(3) Amber: natural beauty
(4) White: celestial, content, contemplation.
