Cyber Fear

Cyber Fear

A Poem by Lloyd
"

Again, very often I'll write an entire piece because of one line I thought of.

"

Living in fear with every breath.
Hiding around every corner.
Cover my face when camera's come out.
Nobody knows my name!

Every moment of every day,
I pretend to be what I'm not.
It's a sweating, trembling, horrible fear.

The notion of being found out.

Finally, I arrive, my destination is met.
I’ll sit alone in the corner.
There's nothing more I need to say.
While I download porn at the cyber cafe.

This is a provocative piece. The internet and digital technology has made it a beautiful world for the casual wanker. I have to laugh because I am always questioning my friends about downloading when the wife ain't around. They very rarely admit, at least in any detail, adventures in porndom. But I know that most of them are checkin it and more. It didn't become the largest online industry because nobody likes it! So here is the thought provoked for me:
Where did all the shame come from? Are we really shameful? Should I see my Pastor? Or just wash my hands more frequently?
Us older guys are always afraid our dead Grandmas can see us. The digital generation could not care less.
