'Pio'

'Pio'

A Poem by brian
"

St. Padre Pio was a beautiful Saint, who bore the stigmata, and who suffered intimately with Christ both interiorly and exteriorly. He had many gifts of God, one of which was the grace to read souls.

"
Pio..you were a victim, a soul given up to pain and suffering.
The tears flowing down on a darkened globe
A second Christ..St. Francis...in the intimacy of your own cell, you bled them well
The Devil's rage was exacted out on you, terror in the shadows of a darkened night...on your knees, Mother of Refuge, you ran to
The world cries for mercy, so He gave us you
Affliction of stigmata bleeding as you raised the Afflicted Christ
A small white host, the apple of your eye, your refuge
Chased down the hall of your own home..Accused by the ones who hated you,
Pain is a beauty mark,
You taught us..
The fruits of suffering are a 'glowing soul'.. as you showed us yours
Down in in the heart of a gentle Light..
We kneel in the grace of a Holy One.
