Dear Life

Dear Life

Dear life,

I have a small message for you

You see

All those lies were sadly true

It regards

Your clear mask of protective lies

You said

It helps to fit in and hide the cries

It did

What you promised and a little more

Changed me

Inside and out to follow a foreign décor

The lies

Have now become an indistinguishable truth

Nothing more

Is left in my soul as I reflect on my youth

Should I

Be grateful for the sheep I have grown to be?

Should I

Embrace my opinion-less existence and just agree?

I write

To you with queries of doubtful gratitude

Void sincerity

Because my words are hollow with the sheep’s attitude.

Reviews

This is a very outspoken piece that gives another voice to the "sheep" of society. I think you should send it.

Love this creativity. I love how you are writing ot life itself for messing things up and leaving you feel like a lost lamb. Just another sheep among the masses. Great inspiring piece.
