A Love So True

A Love So True

A Poem by Carl

I knew a girl with golden hair
She'd make a man stop and stare
In her blue jeans she looked so fine
I knew one day that she'd be mine
Now tell me friend what's a boy to do
When he finds a love so true

Now we first met on a summers day
Some music playing far away
She walked in heads turned around
I was lost but now I'm found
Now tell me friend what's a boy to do
When he finds a love so true

So we dated for a couple of years
Spoke about hopes dreams and fears
Emotions on show feelings displayed
Love like stone foundations laid
Now tell me friend whats a boy to do
When he finds a love so true

So we were married as the church bells rang
Congregation danced and Angels sang
Pledged our love on a summers day
What God has joined together let no man take away
Now tell me friend whats a boy to do
When he finds a love so true

Our loves survived through many a day
Never thought once of walking away
Highs and lows we've had our share
But for each other we've always been there
Now tell me friend whats a boy to do
Now he found a love so true
