My Eternal Light

My Eternal Light

A Poem by Cascara (aka Sprint Goes Cascading!)
"

To put it simply, my unborn savior...

"

Fill me to my brim

Enveloped in your sun kissed warmth
Lighting rays of hope

Every once in a while
A thankful twinge can come
Reminding me my few blessings
Tower above many less unfortunate beings

Take any form
Humane or any other
I give no care
Only come for me
Showing crisp devotion

My knight in shining armor
Who desires not my love
You ease my aches
And your soothing chivalry ignites

In return my pleas shall reward you
Quite equal your worth

Are you this gleaming solace
My unawakened eternal light
With your entrance emerging
At mundane times?

Still I am begging
For you to finally decide
To come to life
My greatest boon

Author's Note

Cascara (aka Sprint Goes Cascading!)
I'm not just writing about God here (but I do believe in him)...

When penning this write, I was thinking of THAT SOMETHING that makes me feel a bit better every once in a while through the many gates of worldy, secular Hell I've entered in life, and if THAT SOMETHING could reveal itself completely and make me feel better all the time. Could it be God? Fate? Luck? I really don't know...

Anyways, readers, feel free to interpret this write however you want.

What I take away from this was someone in a split moment, a single moment seeing everything and anything, knowing and understanding.

This speaks to me. Not only in words but with wisdom. You have crafted a spiritual work of art my friend.

I love that the piece really conveys a deep yearning for the answer to the question: "Where are you?" and "Show yourself to me." The bible says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him and he with me" Rev 3:20. I used to be like what you describe here: a seeker; but I found exactly what I was looking for, just by asking and opening my eyes.
I really loved your poem, it reminded me of how far I have come. There were too many lines here that caught me eye to mention. PLEASE, keep writing them.

God Bless
