Crazy love

Crazy love

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Just words

                                       Crazy love

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once I held great wealth and I didn't know.
Once, you and I.
Make the night sweet and so wonderful.
We fell into the madness of love.
We locked the door and kept the world at bay,
we allowed love to show us the ambrosia of the kiss and the embrace.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once I tasted the ambrosia of love,
once I knew a beautiful face,
once I wished for us, forever and one day.
Crazy love made me forget,
distance steal from us, life is hard and words are not always true.
Today, I would pay everything, to taste the sweet taste of the ambrosia of love blessing.

It is so hard to look back at the love we have let crumble. Sadder still when we can't ever remember. but look into the eyes of a stranger.

Thank you dear Giullia. I am glad you are back.
''we allowed love to show us the ambrosia of the kiss and the embrace.''

How beautiful is the thought in this poem. Reminiscent of the past and all the good things connected to it: love; its company. You wrote it extremely well, John.

My pleasure!
Precious moments bygone, relived again and again in our minds, bring on the realisation of how brief life really is, and briefer the joy of love. All the more reasons to cherish what we have, in the here and now. Beautifully crafted and expressed...

The pleasure is all mine!
no words are "just words". every word mean something or a lot of things and sometimes words mean everything. i like how in "just words" you made us feel love, hopes and dreams, and loss. nicely done ;)

The theme of my latest is very much the same to this. How ironic. It really does make a lasting impression on the heart!
