Lapis

Lapis

A Poem by Cecil N. Park

The liquid lacquer
the dilapidated lapis lazuli
licking lips, the liquor cabinet
the lasting love of livid lager
the lasting lust of Don Perrignon
the unrequited thirst to love
I just wanna feel that burn
that twists these tongues-
that lisps the lips
and liquidates the language into broken hums
turn my fingers into fleshy feelers-
can't feel s**t, cause i'm so f*****g numb
& God i'm too f*****g young
God i'm too f*****g young.
