Purpose

Purpose

A Poem by Patrick Ramsey
"

Each has that for which it aligns.

"
Star!
How you emanate!
Making irrelevant,
The dark void, hopelessness, despair.

Compass!
How you reveal North!
Revealing circles, pointing highways,
Emerging found from lost.

Lighthouse!
How you break darkness!
Announcing earth driving from deep,
Drawing shelter from the tempest,

Watchman!
How you detect!
Arousing minds and hearts,
Piercing voice awakening the sleepers.

Soothsayer!
How you divine!
Discerning omens that portend,
Sifting dreams, visions, auras, futures.

Prophetess!
How you forsee!
Sensing the words,
Interpreting the true, encouraging masses.

Exorcist!
How you dispel!
Mastering the darkness,
Commanding clouds, cleansing your domain.

Slave!
How you avail!
Offering your body,
Bruising the inside, unleashing power.

This is an interesting poem, in its format and content. I am not sure about the slave verse though. Offering your body? That implies agreement. Their misuse and abuse I should think is against their will. But if it 'unleashes power', I suppose that is good. I did enjoy reading this thought provoking poem, though.

Its format and wording... And asking questions while showing purpose.. And title matching with content is cool..
