The WomanA Poem by The Fangirl LifeA kinda sad poem that talks about the inner struggles of teenagers (and possibly some older than teens) as they face the horrible reality that is life. The Woman Her smile hid the tears that shed every night Her laughter allowed the world to hear her joys instead of cries Yet her wrist flowed with crimson blood everyday It allowed her to forget the pain of yesterday Her friends thought she was temperamental, Her family said she was just lazy But oh, she was suicidal Anxiety always made her mind hazy Every slice dug deep into her delicate skin As she sliced down her waist and thighs to look thin She slit her wrists to apologize for her existing She did this every night, because for her it was comforting Every day she lived wishing she could die, For she bothered her friends and made her family cry The many times she said ‘I’m fine’ were all times she lied For her heart was broken, she was dying inside She never brought pride to her family, Nor did she bring happiness to her friends Her existence felt like a pain to mankind Yet she continued to act like she felt glorious and divine Her self-esteem was lower than sand, Her dying would just lift a huge, useless weight off the land As she wore a mask to fool the world, she kept thinking of an oasis, The world without herself, without the woman with no purpose.
