Silenced with Fingers

Silenced with Fingers

A Poem by Courtney
"

This one is a personal piece, as will much of my new stuff be.

"
The problems inside
Can be silenced with fingers
Insecurity subside
Yet the pain lingers

Forcing it all
Burning and scratching
Sanity falls
Compulsion catching

A new way of life
A friend and a foe
Cuts as a knife
All filled with woe

A void need to fill
Have but a set goal
What first was your will
Overtaking control

Perfection to need
A need is to long
Now wish to be freed
Too far in the wrong

The grip is too tight
Cannot twist away
Too weak now to fight
The price you must pay

Began was by hate
And planted a seed
Time need but wait
Swallowed by greed

It's never enough
Each victory mundane
Attempt to fight rough
Yet all goes in vain

Keeping it down
Both volume and lore
Sink into your frown
Background evermore

Accept the new role
The problems it brings
Dig deep as a hole
Out but by wings

Once seemed a friend
Was based upon lies
Brought by to mend
Weep bleeding eyes

Embracing to hope
All in mind is the win
Allow tragic to cope
I let Mia in.

These poems have a singsong likerhythm I noticed, almost like a slow dark rock ballad. You seem to pierce the soul in pieces like this which makes it appealing to the reader.

This was really emotional. I like how you make it so transitional.
